Before and After (no floor)

a before and after , less orange, more peachy now, the floors has to be put back in, plus trim!

Painted......

All the priming done, all the painting done of the walls, plus a vapor barrier put down over the concete. Next up: underlayment and the wood !! Then window trim!! The color is : Ginger Peach, by Olympic Paints.

Prime Sanding....

Ok, all the mudding and sanding done, Check, Priming Done ! Now on to paint samples and trim work, then the floor!!! It's coming to an end soon!! Wooooooohoooooo... So here is the last picture before the priming was done, Lots of mud, lots of sanding it was a bit thick in some areas, but for the most part now flows seamlessly and not too many bad areas!! I'm beat though, worked on this all day and then have to work tomorrow for real work.

Well all this is for preparation for our Christmas party we are having at our house, I think Michelle is up to 28 people invited, I don't know I lost count already, ha ha... Should be a fun time.. Can't Wait!!

Got mud ?

All the drywall has been up and I had baseboard heating installed this week, since that's done I got to mudding the walls, first coat on half the room is done, just need to finish the other half, then sand, and apply the 2nd coat. It's getting close to Christmas and I'm trying to get as much done as possible in there so we can have our dining room back together!! Any good with moulding ? Window trim ? :)

Missing peaks...

All the drywall is up on the walls but for the peaks! Off to mudding.... I have the heating guy coming on Thursday this week to install baseboard heating along the left and back walls so we can finally start using this as a room and not closing it off each winter!!! Just have to clean up a bit before he gets here I suppose! Well all this will be finished and ready by Christmas so we can have everyone over. Can't wait! I know Michelle will be so happy when this is all a room again!!



Another shot here from the side and the junk on the deck. Our gazebo collapsed from that ice storm we had a week ago.. Ooops!! Hope we can get a new one for next year :(

Vapor Barrier...

Got the vapor barrier up today. Some plywood furring strips in a few places and ready for drywall !
Just have to tape a few more places and that's about it ....

Insulation in ....

Got all the insulation in the room and it's looking good, already feels a bit warmer in there. Next to put up is the vapor barrier
tomorrow and then little at a time the drywall.. Still a long way to go but it's coming along nicely. I think I'm still feeling pieces of fiberglass on me and I was covered up , gloves and all , sheesh!! Look for more pictures coming real soon!

More demo , more coming...

More of the walls had come down, I just hadn't posted it on here. Well even more is down, just the back walls and one corner where I have to move some wood. This weekend however I am taking out the plywood at the back wall, removing the windows and replywooding (heh heh, like that word ? ) Once the windows are put in correctly , I can start back on the inside and get insulation and some drywall up.

Actually got a lot more than this down, but had this
picture on the camera so I threw it up here.. will take some more later, just a few more pieces of drywall to go. 9 trash bags so far and a few more to fill. Then I need to take the plywood down and remove the windows and more..

Dining Room - floor removed, ready for wall demo

Here is the empty room. The walls are coming down to fix the unlevel and remove the outdate texture look, as well as changing the colors to a bit more muted orange/yellowish color.

What colors does everyone out there suggest ? Michelle would like one called Osage Orange from Sherwin Willams.

Dining room - REDO

We are working on redoing the dining room, the floor got a bit damaged from the cats, and from the fact it wasn't finished completely. I will be posting pictures as progress advances.
